* According to Bob Scott, these three inscriptions recorded by the John Paul DAR are all on one stone, described as being broken at the time. The stone was still standing in the 1970s, on the south side of the road.

COMMENTS: Graveyard located 1 2/10 miles from Barbersville Creek Road on the west side of Hicks Ridge Road.
The DAR did not record Dorcas Risk’ stone. But in a visit about 1971, Bob Scott recorded her name as being on the stone, but with no death date. She lived 1813/14-1 Apr. 1891. Her death is recorded in the Jefferson Co. Health Department.
